My dad informed me that the siding guys will not be here today, but they will be here tomorrow. As long as they get it done, I don’t care when they get here.
Luckily we were able to install the new garage door and it is functional. The old door was a heavy solid wood door with steel braces on the top, middle and bottom.

Before

After
The new door had to be installed because that where all of the supplies are located. The old door’s bottom handle was beginning to separate from the door and that thing was way too heavy to keep lifting whenever things needed to be brought out. It was nice to get the old door out of there. Getting the springs put on the new door was a feat in and of itself. The vertical track had to be adjusted and then it had to be lifted up. I think the thing must have weighed 300 pounds. Once the door was up; putting the springs on was no problem. I still have to install the safety cable that goes on the inside of the spring to prevent damage if the springs ever break, but it is not a priority as of right now because no car is in the garage.
We will see what tomorrow holds.
